Transworld Snowboarding Presents: Get Real
Get Real - Transworld's 2009-2010 Snow Film from vas entertainment on Vimeo.
Transworld has been advertising this all over their website, and I must admit it is worth the wait. This line up includes Ikka Backstrom, Chris Grenier, Scott Stevens, Jed Anderson, Scotty Lago, and Eero Niemla just to name a few.Get Real is a smooth video, the riders' creativity lead to a fun film. Scott Stevens steals the show again using his skate influenced style to blow people minds once again. This video although fun, never really takes off like you want it too. It remains consistent, never really trying to push it to the limit with anything that hasn't been done yet. Personally, I was not a huge fan of the soundtrack.

Absinthe Films Presents:Neverland
Neverland by Absinthe Films from Absinthe Films on Vimeo.
Absinthe Films' Neverland became an instant classic after watching less then ten minutes of it! The opening scene shows backcountry progression with Nicolas Muller at the helm of course.

Snowboarding Movies-Pay It Forward
Every fall I start jonesing for snowboarding. Whether it's reading catalogs or seeing online videos of pros shredding in the southern hemisphere, when fall arrives, so do snowboard videos. Since I am a serious video nerd, I felt that I would post reviews of the videos I have seen so far. I have this expensive habit of purchasing dvds yearly, and watching them religiously.

Cross Country Snowboarding?
I was recently sent this video. It was made by Fuel Tv. Have a look at the new "craze" of cross country snowboarding. I thought it was funny but let me know your thoughts. I have video reviews coming up next.

Welcome to Stoked on Ice!!
Welcome to Stoked on Ice, This blog is intended to show the side of snowboarding that got everyone from Jake Burton to your local shop kid inspired to search for the perfect line. By the "Perfect Line" I don't just mean first tracks in fresh powder, I mean anything that you consider snowboarding. This can involve absolutely any kind of snowboarding.
This blog was inspired by me getting employed by Hunter Mountain (2007) when I had never seen so little snow. The amazing part about it was the fact that we made the best of a season that barely got below freezing. I learned the definition of Jibbing. That season guaranteed that I would become passionate about snowboarding. This website is not only limited to industry news, but local news as well. Please E-mail about anything you would like discussed, demoed, etc.
