Hunter Mountain Opening Day Pics
Hunter Mountain opened yesterday(12/10/09) and I was able to sneak up and get some riding in along with some scenery shots. I left at around 4am, and I don't think I have ever seen the city that empty before.
Hunter had two ways down the mountain: Helgate to Kennedy Drive and Belt Parkway. Both had an amazing base of snow, and since the high temperature was 25, they were blowing so they could have more opened for the weekend. The pictures are posted below.

Storms Rising Across the Midwest
Look at the video I came across in USA Today on a storm across the midwest. The amount of snow is stunning. Hopefully the storm will head further East and show some love to the Northeast as well.

Stoked On Ice Recession Sessions: Pre Shred Slideshow
This Past Friday various Catskill Resorts decided to push back there opening dates due to struggles with East Coast conditions. When all hope seemed lost, it began to snow in Lexingsticks, and instead of having to rob ice rinks, we ended up riding real snow that came from the skies! Here are some of the shots that came from the Saturday that just past.

Snowboard Tattoos
Check this page out it has a variety of different snowboard Tattoos, and honestly some of these tattoos are pretty good. I'm not a huge fan of the ones that have brand logos on them, but the others seemed to have had some thought put into them. The Tara Dakaides one is pretty shocking. It seemed like she got confused or didn't approve of what she had before, either way, the point is know what you want to get, and make sure you're 99.999% that you want that tattoo. I have the article posted beneath the photo, which has many more to look at....
