Coping With No Snow...... Recession Sessions

In the Catskills, warm weather has lead to serious delays in the start of the shred season. Recently Catskill Resorts aren't even getting the cold nights that they would need to even start making snow. Between that and the rainstorms, creating a base during these times maybe easier said then done. Since sandboarding has never been an option in the Catskills, we need to find other ways to cope when you can't afford to day hop to Vermont or Maine. Whether it's robbing the local ice rink's zamboni ice shavings, or finding some other way to get our shred on, Stoked On Ice is bringing you the Recession Sessions.

Recession Sessions are all about improvising so that you don't have to have to settle with what Mother Nature provides. Snowboarding with creativity is key here, not expensive helicopter shots. Stoked On Ice will post videos, but anyone who feels they have something that should be shared, share it. Any videos e-mailed to me with your own snowboarding will get posted for everyone else to see what you've got. Once again do not be shy, and there is no correct way to snowboard. This site is looking for people who are passionate and having fun.
